Project Overview: Blue Point Tower – External & Internal Painting Works

This project comprised a comprehensive painting and coating package for Blue Point Tower, including internal upgrades to communal spaces, a community centre, and a pool area. The works incorporated a variety of substrates and finishes to meet the functional and aesthetic goals of the space.

Scope of Works

• Common Areas

  • Painting to ceilings, walls, high and low wall sections, corridor handrails, bulkheads, skirtings, doors, and frames.

  • Special access requirements included scaffolding for high-reach areas.

• Community Centre

  • Finishes applied to plasterboard, raked, vaulted, and villaboard ceilings.

  • Full wall repainting, including skirtings, steel trusses, bulkheads, pelmets, metal balustrades, doors, and external walls.

• Pool Area

  • Acratex coating systems applied to vaulted ceilings, villaboard ceilings, pool walls, and change rooms.

  • Doors and frames were refinished to match the newly coated surfaces.

  • Included mobile scaffolding for ceiling access.

Special Features

• Use of Acratex Coatings in moisture-prone areas like pool zones for enhanced durability and protection.

• Vaulted and raked ceiling treatments, requiring tailored access and specialist application methods.

• Integrated interior and exterior scope, delivering a cohesive visual identity across all community areas.
