Project Overview: Australian War Memorial – Internal Enabling Fitout Works

This project focused on the internal preparation and finishing of Galleries 2 and 3 at the iconic Australian War Memorial. The scope combined detailed surface treatments with complex access logistics to ensure the preservation and enhancement of the space’s heritage integrity.

Scope of Works

  • Galleries 2 & 3 – Internal Works

    • General surface preparation and multiple coats of finish throughout the galleries.

    • Lacquer applied to existing timber flooring for a polished and durable result.

    • Render repair and patching, followed by paint application to all upstands and feature surfaces.

  • Façade and Hard-to-Reach Access Areas

    • Paint application to external façade via swing stage access.

    • Abseiling works to areas inaccessible by swing stage, ensuring complete façade coverage.

    • Full provision, supply, and hire of swing stages and hoarding systems to manage logistics and safety onsite.

  • Specialist Access Solutions using swing stages and abseiling, demonstrating agility in working with heritage and high-risk zones.
